Poppy Book Group

Hi Poppy Readers -

I thought today we could do something a little different then our typical book group and discussion. I have a question for you I would like you to take some time to answer using your book as a reference:

In the beginning of the book, Poppy is meek and does whatever Ragweed or her father tells her. Later in the book Poppy shows a lot of spunk in fighting Mr. Ocax on her own. What made Poppy change from dependent to independent?

Take a minute and think about how Poppy was at the beginning of the story. Then think about everything she is doing now. She has changed a lot! Think about why this change happened.
